Ali Saeed Bin Thalith has the honour of being one of the longest serving members of the Nakheel team, having joined in October 2001 as Project Engineer, Marine Department. He played a key role in the design of The Palm-Jumeirah and The Palm-Jebel Ali, working alongside the construction management teams in the design of the break waters.
Alongside the above works he led the development team to develop the Concept, Masterplan and Construction of initial phase for the following projects: The World Islands, Dubai Maritime City,
Mina Seyahi Marina Expansion (Dubai Promenade), Al Hamriya Port, Existing Fishing Harbour at Jumeirah, Umm Suquiem 1 and Umm Suquiem 2.
He represented Nakheel at a number of international conferences on marine management and development in countries like England, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, Netherlands and Lebanon etc.
Nakheel had established Nakheel Marinas as an autonomous strategic business unit complete with its own management, budget and team. Ali was appointed as the General Manager for Nakheel-Marinas Company (NMC) in 2005. NMC is working on Construction, Maintenance and Management of world class Marinas on all offshore projects of Nakheel.
Presently he is the Director of Nakheel Marine Group, a marine arm of Nakheel PJSC
